Sunday Morning Swifting

I was invited this morning by Chris to have a trip out on Swift 85 to blow her cobwebs away as she has not ventured out of Caister Road depot for a while, so we decided to do a little tour of the nearby villages in the misty gloom of the first November morning. After a little Battery boost we were off!
85 in the Beach Road Terminus at Hemsby

First stop was Hemsby and a trip along Beach Road to the turning circle for a few photos and the chance for a certain Swift to Tweet to its followers news of its trip out! You can follow 85 on Twitter @WEX685M for regular updates on what she is up to!
Outside Ormesby Royal Oak (Or Home i like to call it!)
We then ventured along the current 1 route to Ormesby through Hemsby Kingsway and along Ormesby Road in the misty haze before arriving at the Ormesby Royal Oak Stop on Cromer Road, very convenient as i live opposite and popping in to mine for a quick refreshment was in order!
We then had a drive through Caister and then along the Seafront which always has people admiring the Swift as it passes, and a certain assistant blog writer even got a go behind the wheel!
Back home to join fellow Blue Bus 59 at Caister Road

A very enjoyable Morning out and about with the Swift, Its next Official outing is on November 15th and a trip to the Ipswich Transport Museum, it is also hoped that GYT liveried ALX400 59 will also make the trip to Suffolk.

Thanks to Chris for the invite!    Grahame.
