Marching On!

As is often said 'a pinch and a punch for the first of the month'! February is traditionally the shortest month of the year but this year the month has brought us the highest number of monthly page views ever. Thanks everyone!!

Today also sees the publication of the weekly Notices and Proceedings Report published by the East of England Traffic Commissioner. This week's report reflects Anglianbus plans to rationalise services serving the Great Yarmouth area.

As previously reported on the blog, the operator is cancelling the 81/81A service between Great Yarmouth and Beccles and the 71 from the town to Belton under short notice from 18th April 2017.

Anglianbus is also to vary three of its existing services under short notice from the same date. They include the timetable of the 87/88 service from Durban Close, Halesworth to Newmarket Road, Norwich plus the route amendment, stopping places and timetable of the 61 from Kessingland to Great Yarmouth Barrack Estate via Lowestoft. The third change is the alteration of the route, stopping places and timetable of 88/X88/BH272 between Halesworth and Southwold

From the 12th March 2017, Anglian is also altering the timetables of the 84 Harleston to Norwich Bus Station and the 85 Surlingham to Norwich services.

Retrospectively, Our Hire is to amend the route and timetable of its 86 service from Beccles Old Market to Norwich from 20th February 2017.

Beccles and Bungay Area Community Transport is cancelling six of its Connecting Communities services operating in the Waveney area from 1st April 2017.
