Summer Arrives With Good News

With the arrival of June this morning, both weather presenters on the main television channels told us that today (in meteorological terms) sees the beginning of summer. Let's hope they are not proven wrong!

Looking back to May, it was the third of the five months of this year where we have achieved record viewing figures for the blog. Our twitter account also has well over 600 subscribers. My thanks to you all for your much valued support!

Also during May, we were voted in the top 100 of Mass Transit Blogs and Websites for Public Transport Industry Professionals by American company Feedspot. The rankings, which also included sites based in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and USA, are based on the following criteria
  • Google reputation and Google search ranking
  • Influence and popularity on Facebook, twitter and other social media sites
  • Quality and consistency of posts.
  • Feedspot’s editorial team and expert review
We were ranked at number 84 whilst Gerard's X1 blog just beat us into 82nd position. The only other 'local' representation was Clive's Ipswich Bus Blog ranked at 87. I'm not sure what importance this gives us but it's good to know that our efforts are being recognised. (I am sure Muttley would have been pleased to receive the medal !)
