High Street Closure Now Cancelled

Following the posting that Gorleston High Street is due to be closed to buses next week, a subsequent announcement has been made that the works to upgrade a water main will now be delayed until the New Year

Whilst the road will still close for the Christmas lights switch on and associated events on Sunday, the works in High Road by Essex and Suffolk Water have been cancelled

During the Sunday celebrations buses will be diverted via Beccles Road, Church Road and Church Lane before regaining their usual routes. Temporary bus stops will be in place on Church Road

The High Street was closed for ten days earlier this year when emergency works were required to repair a collapsed sewer during June, followed by another closure after a water main burst in late July
