Two former First Leicester ALX400 appear on Bernard Matthews contract

heading for the East Norfolk Sixth Form College to start its 730 service to Great Yarmouth via Acle and Cantley.

After a shake rattle and roll into Market Gates, Steve and I observed former Leicester ALX400 32065 W425SRP heading off 'not in service' after completing the 13:16 service 7 from Belton. Less than half an hour later 32065 was leading the Bernard Matthews

procession past the Beach Coach Station. The second bus was another ex Leicester ALX400 in the shape of 32062 W422SRP

A striking looking Jonckheere bodied coach passed us earlier in Market Gates and Steve thought it said on the rear 'There are no passengers left on this vehicle overnight' 

Luckily SR11SRK from Andover based Pikes Coaches was noted

parked at Beach Coach Station and a look at the rear confirmed his observation. The driver reported that at least one motorist went out of his way for a second glance!

It was one of a dozen coaches laying over. Others included a Shearings Setra - 645 BT63GDO and two National Holidays vehicles - Setra NH11DTH and Volvo NH06DEH

Anglian Scania AN61LAN receives attention from one of the fleet support team

Two examples from the Alfa Travel fleet were also noted including Volvo B12B Plaxton Paragon PN08KRK

Dodging the showers, we returned to Market Gates to view the arrival of Anglian's Scania OmniLink 451 AN61LAN. 

The driver was quickly out of his seat to attract the attention of the fleet support vehicle. There appeared to be some problem in opening one of the doors.

Steve and I then went our separate ways to attend to our respective shopping duties!
