The new 580 service, connecting Great Yarmouth with Beccles and Bungay, started today. It operates via the new A12 / A143 link road to connect the three centres with the James Paget Hospital and Gorleston High Street

The service appeared to be operated solely by Beccles based BorderBus, despite rumours that Simonds of Botesdale would share responsibilities. The latter will eventually run a connecting Diss - Harleston - Bungay - Beccles service from the end of the month connecting with the BorderBus 580 under the 'Waveney Line' branding
