Lurking in Lancing

Late morning and early afternoon was spent in Lancing, a village with a population of almost 20,000 situated adjoining Worthing to the west of Brighton

Pulse liveried Alexander Dennis Enviro300 GX60PCZ approaches Lancing Station

Public transport wise the village is served predominantly by Stagecoach South whilst independent Compass also runs through the main high street (South Street)

The former's Pulse route connects the village to Worthing Town Centre, it's hospital and Durrington West, with the operator currently marking ten years since its introduction of the route. Stagecoach has highlighted its instant success and the investment made to make it successful. This included newer and bigger buses with improved seating, free to use WiFi and smart card technology

As already mentioned, Compass also runs it services through the village and has also invested in new vehicles as witnessed by the use of Dennis Enviro200 YX16OCV (above) on its service 16 from Tarrington to Lancing Broadway
