Service Alterations Registered ~ 12th April 2017 (updated)

This week's Notices & Proceedings Report, published by the East of England Traffic Commissioner, contains details of further forthcoming changes to our local bus services.

Our Hire Limited, trading as Our Bus, has registered a new stopping/ hail and ride service between Little Plumstead and Great Yarmouth's Market Gates. The Monday and Wednesday only 74/X74 service commences on 31st May 2017.

The operator is also to vary the route, stopping places and timetable of its 730/73A service linking Beighton with Gorleston's East Norfolk Sixth Form College also from 31st May 2017.

First Eastern Counties has registered its new seasonal service 3, which will run daily between Seashore Holiday Village and South Beach Parade. It begins on 28th May and will continue until 23rd September 2017. The link to Vauxhall Holiday Park / Railway Station will be maintained by service 1B from 28th May timetable changeover

The company is also to vary the timetable of the following routes in the area from 28th May 2017
      ♦  X1 Norwich Bus Station to Great Yarmouth Market Gates
      ♦  X1 Great Yarmouth Market Gates to Lowestoft Bus Station
      ♦  X2 Lowestoft Bus Station and Norwich All Saints Green
      ♦  1/1A/1B Martham to Lowestoft Bus Station via Great Yarmouth Market Gates
      ♦  2 Great Yarmouth Market Gates to Barrack Estate
      ♦  4 Barrack Estate to Caister on Sea
      ♦  9 Great Yarmouth Market Gates to James Paget Hospital, Gorleston
      ♦  99/99B Lowestoft Bus Station to Kessingland
The route and stopping places for the 1/1A/1B and X2 services will also be amended from the same date

Under short notice, Anglianbus is to vary the timetable of its 84 Harleston to Norwich Bus Station and 87/88 Halesworth to Norwich Newmarket Road routes from 18th April 2017

First Eastern Counties has been given authorisation to amend the number of vehicles operating at its Norwich sites. Lansdowne Road has been removed as an operating centre with Roundtree Way in the city now licensed for 121 vehicles. Incidentally, Vancouver Way in Kings Lynn now has authorisation for 20 vehicles.
