#TBT ~ Norwich Surrey Street Bus Station

For today's Throw Back Thursday we travel back to the old Norwich Surrey Street Bus Station during the afternoon of 14th January 1995

This poor quality photo shows Eastern Counties Leyland Olympian F102AVG leaving the bus station bound for Vulcan Road. It has received an all over advertisement for Roys of Wroxham (and its Eaton Centre) and was new to the fleet as DD2 in April 1989. It was later renumbered as OC2 and then 105 later becoming 34822 under First. F102AVG was the last one of the batch in service at Kings Lynn.

On the left of the photo is MB747 C747BEX a Mercedes Benz L608 new in May 1986 and disposed of to dealer Ben Jordan of Coltishall during 1997. Whilst on the right is Bristol VR277 VAH277X. New in October 1981 it lasted just over 20 years in service until withdrawal in December 2001. It also ended up at Ben Jordan, being broken up during August 2002.
