Timetable Changes

Starting next week are temporary changes to local timetables by First Eastern Counties. The operator says these are being introduced following current and planned roadworks in the Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and the surrounding area. They presently include Southtown Road, Burgh Road and Haven Bridge on top of the works planned for Breydon Bridge and Gorleston High Street.

Church Road diversion in place following Gorleston High Street closure to traffic in October 2020
From Monday all buses normally using Gorleston High Street are to be diverted via Church Road due to the closure of High Road/High Street for maintenance work being carried out by Anglian Water. This will affect Coastal Clipper 1 and 1A, Coastal Link X1 and X11 plus Coastal Reds 5, 6, 6A, 6B and 8 services which are expected to be less frequent until November.

First Eastern Counties Head of Operations, Chris Speed 'apologises for any inconvenience that these changes may cause, which are entirely due to factors outside our control and we thank you for your patience'

The company urges their bus users to keep up to date by following their Twitter account (@FirstYarLow) and on Facebook (facebook.com/firsteasterncounties/)

In addition other operators' services provided by BorderBus (780 Beccles/Bungay to Great Yarmouth) and Ambassador Travel (271 Bradwell to Hemsby) will also be affected by the Gorleston High Street closure.
