The bus rally was well organised in the large goods yard at Quorn with some interesting vehicles in attendance with one of them being preserved Volvo B7TL Alexander ALX400 W219 XBD in its Great Yarmouth Transport heritage livery; although the City Centre destination look a little incongruous!
A former resident of the East Anglia Transport Museum (many years ago!) was Leicester Corporation AEC Renown no.329 CBC 921, new in 1939. Also in the background is Ipswich Leyland Atlantean open top MRT 9P
Another interesting visitor was Cumberland Motor Services 291 BRM596, is a 1936 Leyland Titan TD4. In 1948 it received a new Eastern Coach Works (ECW) body similar to that fitted to a number of Leyland Titan PD1s at that time. The only clue to its real age is the short pre-war radiator.
A trip to the Midlands wouldn't be the same without viewing a Midland Fox bus and this is ECW bodied Bristol VRT EAP 984V which was new to Southdown in March 1980 and never operated for Midland Fox! ( See Rob Sly's Illustrated History of EAP 984V )
Tim spent amount of time on the railway travelling to Nunkley Hill on the Mountsorrel Branch and the associated Heritage Centre. Services on the branch were operated by one of the resident Class 101 units and 'Iris' the single Derby Lightweight unit. It acquired the destination of Lowestoft kindly wound on by one of the crew!
Overall lots to see and do with bus rides around the local area departing at regular intervals using visiting vehicles.

Still miss 32059, think it was the better one of the 2 heritage buses we have in Yarmouth, 37562 has and always shown it's age whereas 32059 never has.
