| Ipswich Buses Versa YK08EPJ on the new P&R Service Copyright Syd Eade |
Ipswich Buses has acquired eight former Nottingham City Transport Optare Versas to operate the service which wear the new P&R livery.
For the record the vehicles have Ipswich Buses fleetnumbers 145-52 and are registered YK08EPA/C/D/E/F/J/U/V
Regular blog contributor Syd Eade was in Ipswich yesterday and sends in the following report:-
'Despite the vile weather I ventured to Ipswich for an hour today to look at the new P&R operation. All seemed fine, although the Versa internal public address is so loud it blasts you on the pavement when the doors are open, but that may be the idea. I see after being bereft of the service number with (FEC), once again it is known as service 800.

800 was always displayed on the internal screen of the P&R Volvos - the only route they appear to have been programmed for as they say Not In Service for all other routes. 69009 was on normally decker operated route 66 today. I also observed the Colchester equivilant 66976 today rather ironically showing Sainsbury's on the front as it's a Co-op ad!
