Sanders Further Update

We reported in early June (Sanders Coaches' Arrivals - 3rd June 2024) that Sanders Coaches had recently acquired two former Nottingham City Transport ADL Enviro200s YX63 LJA and YX63 LJC.

Chris Doward on X tells us that they have both recently received route branding for the 9 service running between Sheringham and Fakenham. The former is now fleet number 409 and was captured on film by Chris earlier today sporting the new branding whilst similar YX63 LJC, now 410, was noted similarly treated in Holt.

My thanks to Chris for the information and photo

Note: Also acquired are two second hand coaches 928/29 (FJ60 EFS/P) which are Volvo B9R / Caetano Levante 67 seaters from Bennett of Gloucester. This was anonymously reported in the comments section under the 'More for Sanders' report.

Vintage Transport Festival

We continue our North Norfolk theme with some some pictures from Dan High of heritage vehicles attending the North Norfolk Railway's Vintage Transport Festival yesterday. I have tried to include those buses/coaches which don't often appear in reports on here.

The first contribution features four attendees at Holt. They include Norfolk Vintage Bus Hire AEC Routemaster/ Park Royal JJD 401D and Bristol MW/ Eastern Coach Works JAX 117E - new to Red and White Services. The others are Peelings Coaches Volvo B10M / Plaxton Supreme V FAH 275Y and former Royal Blue Bristol RELH6G/ECW LDV 467F

Two open toppers appear in Dan's second photo on a rather damp day! They comprise Bristol KSW5G /ECW WNO 479 in Eastern National colours and ex Ipswich MRT 9P, a Roe bodied Leyland Atlantean. Making up the trio is former Southdown ECW bodied Bristol VRT GNJ 583N.

Next up is N553 SJF is a classic 1995 Volvo B10M Jonckheere Deauville operated by Stephensons of Glentham in Lincolnshire. The coach has paid a couple of visits to Great Yarmouth in the recent past.

Stowmarket-based Dan's Coach Travel sent along their Bluebell E22 DCT, a Plaxton Paragon bodied Volvo B12M.

Our final photo has to be that of Blue Bus liveried Scania L94UB / Wright Access Floline 574 S574 TPW.

I am grateful to Dan for the many photos he supplied but unfortunately I have had to restrict the number of those used. Hope my selection of them proves to be of interest.

First Day In Service

The latest addition to the Sanders fleet is MCV Evolution bodied Volvo B7RLE 534 KP12 BUS. It is pictured at the Langham Hall stop yesterday on its first day in service on the 46 route to Wells-nest-the-Sea

The Volvo was new to Pulham’s of Bourton-on-the-Water in March 2012. It later saw use with Houston’s of Lockerbie and Hulley’s of Baslow, although this is the first occasion it has been repainted from Pulham’s original livery.

My thanks to Liam for the photo.
