Staying a few days in Worthing on the south coast and yesterday afternoon was spent viewing bus activity in the town. Little appears to have changed since my visit in August last year, apart from one or two single deckers appearing in the latest Stagecoach local livery.
Metrobus continue to run its regular 23 service to and from Crawley Bus Station with 6551 YN05 HCG passing Steyne Gardens close to the end of its journey. The Scania L94UB with Scania Omnicity bodywork is similar to those previously operated by Anglianbus.
Stagecoach South’s successful Coastliner 700 service continues to be operated by their ADL Enviro400 MMCs. Here 10947 SN18 KNL passes Worthing’s depot entrance on its way to Littlehampton (or LA as the locals call it!)
As mentioned earlier, some saloons are wearing the new local livery and here is 36438 GX61 AYT in South Street ready to leave on the 9 to Arundel
The only Compass Bus observed on local services was ADL Enviro200 YX63 GXR passing through South Street on its way to Lyons Farm on the 16
With roadworks underway at the western end of Lyndhurst Road the PULSE route is diverting through Farncombe Road and here is Alexander Dennis Enviro300 27668 GX10 KZW on the divert heading for West Durrington.
