Worthing Bus Activity

Late yesterday afternoon I managed to escape and spend around an hour observing bus activity on Marine Parade on Worthing seafront.

As it was around the rush hour, there were a significant number of ADL Enviro400 MMC’s appearing on the 700 group of Coastliner services operated by Stagecoach South with 10943 SN18 KNG featuring on the 701 to Littlehampton.

On the opposite side of the road was Stagecoach ADL Enviro200 36438 GX61 AYT on a local service to Shoreham-by-Sea.

Compass Bus also maintains a presence in the town and here is their ADL Enviro200 4109 GX62 CSF on the 16 route to West Tarring.

Two Stagecoach single deckers were seen in the new colour scheme as worn by Alexander Dennis Enviro300 27672 GX60 PCV on another working to Littlehampton .

A sign of the summer not being that far away was reflected in the appearance of Scania AA24 RDY with Leger Holidays branding.

Shortly after, Spirit of Sussex Mercedes-Benz Tourismo BN17 JHH arrived on a contract working from one of the Worthing colleges.

Finally, Metrobus ADL Enviro200 MMC 6786 GX69 EBG was waiting time for its regular 23 service to Crawley.

  1. The Metrobus is interesting - the 23X journeys aren't supposed to start until 10th May and are meant to be double deck operated!
