Ex Burtons Coach Enters Preservation

J&M Preservations has added another vehicle to its growing fleet having brought back its latest acquisition from Hull on Wednesday. VIB 7823 was originally registered as W700 BCL in 2000 and began life with Burtons of Haverhill built on a Volvo B10M-62 chassis with Plaxton Premiere 350 bodywork.

In 2007, it found a new home with Four Girls Coaches in North Wales where it obtained its cherished plate. Painted in their signature blue, it became a familiar sight on school runs and private hires across the region. During 2016 it moved to Ellie Rose Travel of Hull and stayed in its previous livery until late 2021 when it received a yellow makeover and was similarly engaged on schools and college duties.

J&M Preservations plans to return the coach to its original livery and identity as W700 BCL. Keep an eye out for restoration updates, photos and the grand reveal on the group's Facebook site. My thanks to Mason Lee for the information and photo.
