I was contacted this morning by 'Reg Vardy' who was sure he saw the vehicle being towed to a scrapyard in South Lowestoft. He contacted the contractor in charge of the move and found it was taken to the CR Hales yard on Pinbush Road with the latter expected to start scraping the vehicle straight away. That did indeed happen with part of the font of the bus already in the heap in the photo taken this afternoon.
My thanks to 'Reg' for the information and I can only assume that our blog post hastened its ultimate demise.
