Saturday in Kings Lynn

Its been a while since i visited Kings Lynn so with the weather set fair i set off for West Norfolk on the X1 from Acle nice and early on Saturday morning armed with the cameras to capture the latest happenings in the Market Town.

On arrival the first thing i noticed since my last visit was the distinct lack of Green buses, all bar one of the fleet i saw was now in Stagecoach corporate livery or the latest Coasthopper colours. Town services looked to have been renumbered and plenty of timetables were available in the Travel Centre.

All Enviro 400's are now barnded for the 10 service to Hunstanton, SN13EEA seen here near the Rail Station.

First only run the X1 from Kings Lynn and the Bus Station serves as a mid point for services East to Dereham & Norwich and West to Wisbech & Peterborough. The other main operator in the Town is Lynxbus who operate a smart fleet of Optare Tempos run by former Konectbus owner Julian Patterson.

A Pair of Blue Lynxbus Tempos head out towards Hunstanton, YJ58CEY wears an advert for KLFM Radio.

Other operators noted on Saturday were Coach Services of Thetford and Ambassador Travel who run the 371 National Express service to Birmingham.

A very enjoable few hours in the town and nice to chat with a couple of enthusiasts from the Burnley area who were doing a tour of the Anglia area, Kings Lynn being their final port of call for the week!

Grahame.
