Konect Trainer
During his observations in central Norwich earlier today, LiamS was surprised to see a Konectbus training vehicle in use on St Stephens Street.

Friday Flashback ~ October 2010
We continue with our Friday Flashbacks and this week we revisit October 2010 with most of the photos taken in Great Yarmouth.
First up is a picture of Anglianbus Optare Versa AU08 DKL outside the old BHS store on Regent Road on the 12th. Anglian was acquired by the Go Ahead Group some two years later along with vehicles. Konectbus assumed operation of services and the Versa was later painted by them in all over dark blue. In July 2019 it was one of two Versas acquired by H Semmence & Co of Wymondham for use on a new service linking the market town to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital . It recently joined the Great Yarmouth fleet of Ambassador Travel providing schools services still in its blue livery.

On the same day a wander to Great Yarmouth's Beach Coach Station resulted in what was a very common appearance of a National Holiday's coach there. NH04 CCH was once a Wallace Arnold Grand Tourer with registration GT04BGT. The Volvo B12M Transbus/Plaxton Panther was new in May 2004.
A week later, on the 19th, the coach station was a resting place for a Whippet coach which made constant appearances on its Cambridge to Great Yarmouth coastal services. Members of the LGA batch were regular visitors on these routes with Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B10M J688 LGA on duty that day. The coach was eventually removed from Whippet's Swavesey premises by the scrapman during February 2015.
The location of our last photo is Red Lion Street in Norwich where a Norse Park & Ride Irisbus Agora Line saloon is on Norwich and Ride Service. AU05 FKH subsequently passed to Norfolk Green at Kings Lynn and there was still the odd appearance in the city on their services.

Mid Norfolk Railway ~ Bus & Coach Day
Last Sunday was the day for the Mid Norfolk Railway's Bus & Coach event supported by Konectbus
This well attended rally attracted vehicles from far and wide including three ex London double deckers. They were Park Royal bodied Leyland RTL1256 LYR 788 (new in service January 1952) AEC Regent III/ Park Royal RT780 JXC 149 (new August 1948) and RT2233 KGU 162 (a 1949 Weymann bodied AEC Regent III)
Continuing the green colour theme were two vehicles form Ipswich; the first was preserved open top MRT9P. The Roe-bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68 was new to Ipswich Buses in 1976.
The second from the Suffolk County Town was Ipswich Buses 160 SN57 DDF, a former Lothian Buses Volvo B7RLE/ Wright Eclipse Urban.
Throughout the day rides were offered to County School, Hardingham and Yaxham Stations. Two elderly vehicles in the form of Eastern Coach Works (ECW) bodied Guy Vixen MXX 317 and Duple Vista bodied Bedford OB MYB 33 were observed at County School.

Service Alterations Registered ~ 4th August 2021

Sanders Coaches is to amend the timetable of its 44 service between Holt and Sheringham Station from 5th September 2021
Vertas has submitted a third new application for three operating centres in Suffolk. Based at Landmark Business Park in Ipswich, it has again applied for a centre for eleven vehicles at the East Suffolk Council Depot on Rotterdam Road in Lowestoft.
Staines-Upon-Thames based City to Coast Day Tours Limited has had an application granted for an operating centre for one vehicle at East Point Storage Solutions Limited at Pinbush Close in Lowestoft. Coincidentally this is in a similar location to where three ex Halton Transport vehicles were discovered - any connection?
The Public Inquiry due to be held on 28th June 2021 in Cambridge to consider the affairs of PTS Group (Norfolk) Limited of North Walsham has been adjourned until 6th September 2021. A Public Enquiry into its Transport Manager Matthew Wright will be held at the same time.

Brighton On Sunday
Seconds after arriving at Churchill Square in Brighton on Sunday, Brighton & Hove Volvo B9TL 471 BK13 OAS was seen on the opposite side of the road operating on the 21A service to Goldstone Valley. Wearing its 'Albion in the Community Livery', it is named after Jacob Schilt one of the eleven persons losing their lives in Shoreham Airshow tragedy in 2015.
Continuing our walk eastwards, we were passed on North Street by Brighton Sightseeing open topper GX03 SSV on its way to take up position near Brighton Pier. The East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UB was delivered to Brighton as a closed top vehicle but converted to open top in early 2015
Appearances of the latest Alexander Dennis Enviro 400MMC EV hybrid buses were quite common and this is 349 YX70OJU on a Whitehawk service on St James Street.
Later in the same vicinity was another electric powered bus in the form of The Big Lemon's Optare Solo YJ68 FZN in its distinctive colour.
It wasn't too long before Stagecoach South's Enviro 400 Coastliner liveried SK18 KNF appeared at Churchill Square to take us back to Worthing on the 700 service. 10942's final destination was Littlehampton (known locally as LA!!)

Metrobus Watch
We are currently spending a few days on the south coast and this post concentrates on highlighting the vehicles used by Metrobus on the 23 service from Worthing to Crawley during our short stay.
Alexander Dennis Enviro 200s seem to be the favoured vehicle type and on 30th August 6778 YY15 GCV was waiting time to operate the 17:39 departure.
The next working that day was by 6783 SN66 WLP leaving at 18:16. The Enviro 200 was previously with Your Bus of Derby.
The final observation sees 6770 YX63 XZE on 2nd August expecting to depart the same Worthing Pier stop at 17:39
