The vehicle is registered YJ10DJU and is a Wright Pulsar 2 bodied VDL SB200 delivered new to Manchester Airport in March 2010. In plain white livery, it was used for shuttle duties between its car parks and the main airport terminal.

The tweet also says that another is to follow

#TBT LDZ9126

LDZ9126 in Gordon Road Lowestoft on 3rd February 2007
Today's Throw Back Thursday doesn't go back as far as many of the recent postings. This week's offering is LDZ9126 a Wright Handybus bodied Dennis Dart, new to London Buses in September 1992 and designated as their DW126

Exactly two years later, the 26 seater was absorbed into the Centrewest fleet upon privatisation and subsequently First Centrewest in March 1997

Wright Handybus LDZ9126 became 45426 in the First fleet and is pictured in Lowestoft London Road North on the
same day. Immediately behind is Plaxton Pointer variant 46041 K741JAH at the time allocated to Yarmouth

The puddlejumper, as the type became known as, gave some three years of further service before being withdrawn in June 2000 and placed into store. Later that month it moved to First Eastern Counties receiving fleet number 377 and allocated to Norwich

In its later years it was based at Lowestoft and was one of the last to remain in service there. By October 2007 it had been reported as sold to Wigley, dealer of Carlton

My thanks to Ian's Bus Stop for the history of LDZ9126

International Links!

As part of preparing any blog, it is interesting to receive feedback and this can be reflected in the statistical information gathered on page views, audience origins and referring sites etc
It is always interesting to see which countries the pages are being viewed from. As to be expected, the majority of the views are from the United Kingdom and the United States. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the daily visitors and found Cape Verde and Brazil among them

Many thanks to the visitor(s) from Cape Verde for viewing our site. However, the inbox this morning contained an email from OneBus Fotos de Ônibus

'We would like to join the list of interesting sites on your page. Already added your link on our page for partnership. We are a Brazilian blog.

Thank you.

Atenciosamente,

Equipe OneBus | Desde 2012

I looked at the site this morning and found that the blog was initially established in 2010. Three years later it gained contributor Matthew Adler providing posts and numerous changes of his own. From what I can see, it is mainly used to publish photos of buses operating in that country. It also has links to other sites including eastnorfolkbus!

Thanks for the contact and the link to our website

Service Alterations Registered ~ 13th May 2015

Time for our fortnightly look at the latest Eastern Area Traffic Commissioner's Notices and Proceedings Report which was published earlier today. Full details of Publication 2215 can be viewed HERE

The only content of relevance to our local area is notice of a public inquiry to be held on 1st June regarding the possibility of attaching varying conditions to a licence held by Venturer Coachways Limited and the consideration of disciplinary action under Section 17 of The Public Passenger Vehicles Act of 1981. Venturer, under the directorship of Benjamin Fosker, operates from premises at Clopton near Woodbridge

Service 730 Proposal & Sightings

Ambassador Travel Solo on the 730 service in Gorleston High Street
One of our frequent correspondents Joe Leathers Watson was in town yesterday seeking timetable information about Konect' 71 and 72 services. Instead he found a notice regarding proposals by Norfolk County Council to change the 730 service operated by Ambassador Travel

He briefly summarises that most journeys during the week will be replaced by a pre-booked flexibus and Swifts TR4 route will serve Stokesby, Runham and Thrigby on Fridays. Acle Parish Council were consulting on the proposal in mid March and further details can be found here. It is not known when the period for consultation ends but it is hoped to have the new arrangements in place in September this year

Whilst in town, Joe visited Beach Coach Station and was quick to catch First Olympian 34114 heading off on a Bernard Matthews contract

Taking up residence at the coach station were Happy Al's Volvo B9R/ Plaxton Elite A10ALS (originally registered YN10FZR) and Draper's Coaches Plaxton bodied Volvo B12B B12TMD

My thanks to Joe for his report and the last two photos

Winterton Wanderer

Having just set foot in the door home from work, i looked out of my lounge window to be greeted by the sight of quite a few tinted windows at the bus stop opposite, to my surprise you guessed it 33423 was away from its usual X1 haunt and working the 1 to Martham, as the sun was shining i hastily decided to get in the car with the camera a begin the task of photographing the rare appearance.
Turning into Bulmer Lane opposite Winterton Church

Working out the best place for a photo was the next task, one of my old haunts, Hemsby Kingsway was now in shade so i headed for Winterton and the best spot to grab either side was the junction of Winterton Road and Bulmer Lane where i was indeed sucessful and also had a very nice driver who slowed down to let me get some nice shots!
Leaving Bulmer Lane and heading for Martham

So job done it was back home for tea and a blog exclusive from Winterton On Sea!

Grahame.
