Service 730 Proposal & Sightings

Ambassador Travel Solo on the 730 service in Gorleston High Street
One of our frequent correspondents Joe Leathers Watson was in town yesterday seeking timetable information about Konect' 71 and 72 services. Instead he found a notice regarding proposals by Norfolk County Council to change the 730 service operated by Ambassador Travel

He briefly summarises that most journeys during the week will be replaced by a pre-booked flexibus and Swifts TR4 route will serve Stokesby, Runham and Thrigby on Fridays. Acle Parish Council were consulting on the proposal in mid March and further details can be found here. It is not known when the period for consultation ends but it is hoped to have the new arrangements in place in September this year

Whilst in town, Joe visited Beach Coach Station and was quick to catch First Olympian 34114 heading off on a Bernard Matthews contract

Taking up residence at the coach station were Happy Al's Volvo B9R/ Plaxton Elite A10ALS (originally registered YN10FZR) and Draper's Coaches Plaxton bodied Volvo B12B B12TMD

My thanks to Joe for his report and the last two photos
