May Day Visitors

With May Day being in the middle of the bank holiday weekend there were some interesting visitors to be seen at Beach Coach Station.

Today Whippet Coaches commenced operating its Sunday Coastal Service to Great Yarmouth from Cambridgeshire (Service G from Eaton Socon). Volvo B10M J669LGA performed the duty as it did on many occasions last year. She is seen here at Beach Coach Station in the early afternoon.

Also present was another '11' registered Setra from Shearings. This time it was 301 BK11GJE resplendent in its Grand Tourer livery

Other local independents were Emblings, represented by its Scania/Van Hool YIL3129, and Beestons, with its Volvo B10M 226LRB. The former (below) has carried different registrations including VJI9417, APT42S and M321VET. (Source: HB Publications)

Meanwhile, Beestons 226LRB was formerly registered HSK645 and was constructed in 1993. (Source: HB Publications)
