Friday Flashback ~ March 2010 (Part Two)

The subject of this week's Friday Flashback is a visit to Ipswich on the 6th March 2010

We start with a photo of Galloway's Mercedes Benz Vario O814D HF54 HLE about to leave the Old Cattle Market Bus Station on a Bealings service. The Plaxton Beaver bodied bus was new to Romdrive of Melton Mowbray in September 2004 as HP54 WET. It is currently with Seaford and District as their SD53 SEA.

Our second subject is Carters of Capel St Mary's R707 YWC. The Dennis Dart was formerly with Stagecoach London in October 2007 and also had spells with Stagecoach Manchester and Stagecoach Yorkshire. It later moved to Malcolm's Blue Bus Service of Clacton

First Eastern Counties Volvo B7RLE AU58 FFH is observed in Friars Street when the operator used to provide Park And Ride services. 69421, which has subsequently moved on to First Essex, is heading for the Bury Road terminus. It has recently been painted in the new mainly green Essex Bus livery

Our last offering is that of Ipswich 94 X94 LBJ awaiting its next duty at Tower Ramparts. The East Lancs Spryte bodied Dennis Dart SLF was later repainted in the new Ipswich Buses livery in June 2015 and withdrawn three years later
