As long as I can remember there have been buses and coaches to meet the holiday trains from Great Yarmouth Railway Station on a summer Saturday.
Like other services, the numbers have reduced with Reynolds of Caister now being the only operator providing a linking service to the holiday villages north of the town
The photo shows a Reynolds Bedford YNT beside a Great Yarmouth Transport blue bus. The Plaxton bodied CLB779Y was new to Capital of West Drayton in October 1982 and is seen in Reynolds old livery.
Former London Buses Metrobus E453SON was first in service in with them in November 1987 on Harrow bus services. Great Yarmouth Transport acquired her in July 1992 and she was subsequently sold to Merseybus in March 1995
Arriva Merseyside then withdrew her from service in September 2001. She saw further service with Prentice of West Calder and Imperial Buses of Rainham before being sold to Wigley (Carlton) dealer in February 2008. This well travelled bus was then acquired by Hunn of Walthan Abbey and later sold by May 2010.
It is not know if she is still in public service
