Suffolk Made & Operated This Weekend

Just a timely reminder that the Suffolk Made & Operated event takes place at the East Anglian Transport Museum at Carlton Colville this weekend

Organised in conjunction with Ipswich Transport Museum, it celebrates the transport heritage of Suffolk with recently restored Ipswich Trolleybus 105 being the centre of attraction

Lowestoft's PBJ2F at Felixstowe on 4th May 2014 having taken part in the annual
Ipswich to Felixstowe run
Also attending will be former Lowestoft Corporation Massey bodied Leyland PD2 PBJ2F. There may be the possibility that it could feature on its first passenger carrying trip since withdrawal in 1977

Another at the event will be the Eastern Transport Collection's LKD229 OVF229, a Bristol 'Lodekka' LD5G with ECW H33/25RD bodywork. The group has its own Facebook page which can be viewed by clicking HERE

Buses from the extensive collection of both Lowestoft and Ipswich museums, together with those made or operated in the county, will offer regular free bus services to Lowestoft and Beccles

Sponsored by Anglianbus, the Gala begins at 1:00pm on Saturday and closes at 5:00pm. Sunday opening times are 10:30am to 5:00pm.

Further details of the event including bus timetables can be seen on the museum's website
