Belated City Round Up

Better late than never for this post. I ventured up to Norwich on Saturday to catch up on the latest happenings. First up is the arrival of a new open topper for use on the Norwich City Tour. Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President X589EGX has replaced Olympian G520VBB for Awaydays. It began life with Go Ahead London as PVL189, latterly it operated for Thetford based Coach Services. It was converted to Open top by Hants & Dorset Trim.

First has begun repainting some Volvo B9TL's for the Blue Line routes 25/26, 36166 (BD11CFK) was the first to be treated with 36179 (BD11CDY) the next, both are now in service, i managed to capture 36179 on its first day in use after its transformation.

A batch of Volvo B9TL's from First Leeds are being transferred to FEC, 36181 - 36202 are due from the North, 36181-36185 have arrived so far, 36181 currently on loan at Yarmouth with the other four entering service in Norwich.

Finally with First, the fleet of Streetlites in the city have appeared sporting Yellow tape on the nearside mirror arms due to the length of them, making them a bit more hi vis!
