St Stephens Street Diverts

From Saturday 8th January 2022 all bus stops in St Stephens Street in Norwich are out of use following the start of work to redevelop the road as part of the government's Transforming Cities Programme. This means some bus services using those stops being diverted via Norwich Bus Station

Regular contributor David Bell was in Norwich on Monday to see what effect the closure had on services and continues 'Some like Border Bus service 146, First's Charcoal Line 40/41 and Konectbus 11B have relocated their departure point to the bus station whilst other services like the Pink Lines 10/11/12 are running through the bus station to access Queens Road so they turn right at the top of the bus station'

'All Sanders services are turning left into Surrey Street and then right into the bus station where they start and terminate'

'Some services like the picture of Purple Line 32023 on the Mulbarton route didn't use the bus station but ran past the bottom and then turned right up All Saints Green'.

He also added 'There also seemed to be an unusual number of Coastal Reds on the Coastlink services'

My thanks to David for the 'embarrassment of riches' regarding the numerous photos provided - giving me the enjoyable problem of deciding which photos to post!
