Jim Long has also sent some photos of two former Great Yarmouth Transport vehicles and these two coaches operated on many excursions from the town
4750WY started life as FUA385Y with Wallace Arnold in May 1983 and later became HEX119Y |
They were both Plaxton bodied Volvo B10Ms and operated under the guise of Yareside Coaches - named after the River Yare that runs through the town
Formerly FUA386Y with Wallace Arnold, 6220WY at Copdock in September 1991 which later became HEX118Y |
Other visitors to Copdock included double deckers from the First Capital City fleet which used to operate Coastliner services to the seaside. The photos supplied by Jim show Leyland Olympians which eventually became part of the First Eastern Counties fleet
First Capital City Leyland Olympian/Alexander G123YEV became 34923 in the First Eastern Counties fleet and could
be seen regularly operating services in the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft area |
C374CAS also became part of the First Eastern Counties fleet as 34864 - it was new to Highland Scottish in July 1986 |
My thanks to Jim for the interesting set of photos accompanying this post
