Rail Replacement Duties

It seems to be a regular thing now that Bank Holiday weekends is the time when the railway network carries out major infrastructure works and today was no different

Norwich station was a hive of activity with coaches on rail replacement duties following the closure of the route between Norwich and Ipswich due to major bridge repairs. Additionally all Norwich branch lines were operating a revised service

Our 'roving reporter' Tim Miller was on hand to witness rail replacement in action today with local operators Belle Coaches, Freestones Coaches, Galloway Coachways and Simonds among those taking part

My thanks to Tim for providing the photos
