First Great Yarmouth Update

An earlier post recorded that First Eastern Counties Dennis Dart SLF 42929, SN05 EAJ had arrived at Essex dealers Ensign in their November report. That is not the case as it was still at Caister Road earlier today with its fleet names painted over (pictured). It is understood that the saloon is to be collected for scrap on Saturday.

Two Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLEs, 69030 SF55 UAY and 69031 SF55 UAZ, were observed in the rear yard this morning, also with their fleet names painted over. A third example, 69026 SF55 UAU, has recently been withdrawn and is also due for scrapping.

Volvo B7TL/ Wright Eclipse Gemini 37024 YJ06 XKN has returned to Caister Road following accident repairs whilst Volvo B9 37563 AU58 ECA is having a new engine fitted.

Meanwhile, Great Yarmouth Heritage liveried Volvo B7TL / Alexander ALX400 32059 W219XBD is receiving its annual MOT

Two Ipswich vehicles are here too for their MOTs. They are Enviro200 44512 DK57 SXF and Transbus bodied Volvo B7TL 32493 AU53 HKL. The latter had also paid Great Yarmouth a visit for for an unspecified repair during August

My thanks to First for the information and photo

Roy
