High Street Diverts

43862 EG52FGK unusually works the 8 to the James Paget Hospital
Yesterday was the first day of bus diversions from Gorleston's High Street due to water mains work in High Road

I viewed activity at Church Road and saw that the usual temporary bus stops were in place outside and opposite Gorleston Parish Church. However, as I walked the length of Church Road, there did appear to be some confusion as to where the immediate stops were located.

As I waited to take a photo of an ex Jersey Dart, unusually appearing on

Horse Public House. Housing development is currently underway
the 8 service to the James Paget Hospital, a lady wondered up to me to ask if this was the queue for the bus stop to Yarmouth!

Ideally more signage needs to be displayed and I even noticed one bus seemingly arbitrarily dropping of passengers in one location.

The High Street itself was very quiet and it was noticeable that footfall was definitely lower than when the buses are present
